More Than A Tournament — A Community Celebration
Rich Clarke Presents in partnership with Project Success Coalition proudly welcomes the community to our inaugural Juneteenth 3v3 Basketball Tournament and Celebration — a day centered on unity, empowerment, culture, and connection through sports and community engagement. More than just a basketball tournament, this event is designed to bring families, youth, local organizations, businesses, and community leaders together in a positive environment that celebrates freedom, resilience, achievement, and opportunity. Through basketball, music, local vendors, youth activities, mentorship, and community interaction, we aim to create an experience that uplifts and inspires every person who attends.
Project Success Coalition has long focused on strengthening communities through education, leadership development, youth empowerment, mentorship, and collaborative community initiatives. Their mission centers on creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive while building stronger connections across the community. This inaugural event reflects that mission by creating a space where competition, culture, service, and celebration intersect. By partnering athletics with meaningful community involvement, the event seeks to encourage positive relationships, inspire the next generation, and create lasting impact beyond the basketball court.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865 — the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were informed of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Today, Juneteenth stands as both a celebration of freedom and a reminder of the ongoing pursuit of equality, opportunity, and unity. Our goal is to honor that history by creating an event rooted in togetherness, empowerment, and progress for future generations. As we launch this inaugural celebration, we invite the community to participate, connect, compete, celebrate culture, support local organizations, and help build a tradition that grows stronger every year.
